Soya Chicken & Rice- Auntie Kati's recipe

This can be done in the electric frying pan or in a large saucepan, need to keep an eye on it so it doesn't dry out.

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • pinch of Five Spice
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1tsp chicken stock
  • 1tsp malt vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  1. Put all ingredients in a pan
  2. Bring to boil
  3. Add chicken pieces, keep lid on
  4. lower heat a bit
  5. turn pieces until cooked
  6. takes about 3/4 hour
Serve with rice, steamed carrot and broccoli
